Dal is such an important part of my Dad's side of the family. Everyone knows how to make it, and they make it fast. So naturally, I had to come up with my own quick version of instant pot dal. When I think of Dal, I think of my paternal grandmother, who we all called Bibi Ji. Bibi Ji was the queen of the family, and she always got what she wanted. Besides her affinity for McDonald's fish fillets, she loved dal. We had it almost daily.
I love a good egg salad sandwich, and this loaded egg salad sandwich is the real deal. Once you try this recipe you will never settle for bland egg salad again. My version is loaded with zesty thousand island dressing and fresh vegetables, making it so much better than a simple egg and mayonnaise mixture. The thousand island gives this such a nice, zippy flavor. But even if you skip it, the vegetables and seasoning is enough to wow you. I take these along for picnics, but I have also served these for brunch. They're a regular at my table during Ramadan year after year.
A Crispy Veggie Pakora and a rainy day go hand in hand. It is everyone's favorite tea time snack. We all love a crispy veggie pakora, so why the hate towards it all of a sudden? Why do we need to air fry it, or swear it off, especially during the special time of Ramadan? We don't need to deprive ourselves of this delicious treat. I've come up with a simple and fool proof recipe that you can enjoy every now and then even if you're watching your waistline. These crispy veggie pakoras are light, crisp and full of flavor.
