Chicken Fajita Pizza

Once you have a good pizza dough recipe dough, like my pizza dough, the possibilities are endless. You can essentially make any pizza by changing the toppings. I have a chicken tikka pizza recipe up, and that’s a family favorite for sure, but my love for Pakistan’s Pizza Hut has me longing for Chicken Fajita Pizza as well, so I made it today. It’s such a simple recipe you can literally have everything ready before the pizza dough fully rises.

Here’s what you’ll need for 1 large Fajita pizza:

1/2 batch of Pizza Dough

1 chicken breast, cut into small pieces

1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced

1 red/yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced

1/2 onion, thinly sliced

1 Tblspn taco seasoning

1/3 tsp salt

1/3 tsp black pepper

1/4 tsp smoked paprika

1/3 cup pizza sauce/tomato sauce

2 cups shredded mozarella (or more)

Preheat your oven to 420 F.

Start off by preparing the pizza dough. While it rises you can get the chicken ready. Sauté the chicken in 1 Tblspn oil in a non stick pan. Cook for about 2 minutes, then add the seasoning. Once the chicken has cooked through add the peppers and onions and sauté for another minute. Set aside. To assemble the pizza roll out into a circle about 1/3 inch thick. Spread over the sauce, 1/4 cup cheese, then the chicken and pepper mix. Top off with as much or as little cheese as you want, then bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust os a light golden brown and the cheese has melted and is starting to turn golden brown. The baking time truly depends on your oven, so keep an eye on it after 12 minutes. Slice and enjoy hot!
